Was a pleasure to work with Will and Melissa on a patent draft and filing.... Will took the time to understand both my software product and the commercial motivations behind the patent filing. They were extremely responsive to questions and clarifications throughout the process (availability isn't everything, but it certainly helps!).They were also very clear regarding fees, and set out a very helpful visual timeline and cost breakdown on the whole patent application process at the pre-sales stage. This emphasis on making sure I understood all aspects of the work, and having documentation to help with that, is something I didn't see with any of the other patent services I was talking to at the time. Charlie Heal
Charlie graduated from the University of York with a Master’s degree in Chemistry. During his four years studying at the University of York, Charlie studied a broad range of modules including general organic, inorganic, and physical chemistry. He studied further topics in detail including heterogeneous and homogenous catalysis, clean technologies, green chemistry, and atmospheric chemistry.
Charlie completed his final year in industry, where he investigated novel heterogenous catalysts for the manufacture of refrigerant gases with a lower global warming potential. He synthesised a range of solid-acid catalysts, characterised their acidity, and evaluated their performance and stability in accelerated aging experiments. After graduating, Charlie became involved with the research and development of novel sustainable building materials. Charlie developed new formulations of lime plaster and plasterboard containing bio-aggregate and bio-based additives and evaluated their performance against conventional plasterboard. Charlie joined Albright IP in September 2021 to train as a patent attorney and is currently involved in every aspect of the patenting process including drafting, filing and prosecution of patents. In his spare time Charlie enjoys exploring new places and walking through the Cotswolds.Return to Attorneys
