My experience with Albright IP has been flawless from start to finish. I... have never filed a patent before so I was learning everything as I went along. They have been helpful in every way possible and gone the extra mile to ensure I was kept in the loop and happy as everything was going through each step of the way. I cannot express enough how pleased I am with their service. I had the pleasure of working with Will, Abigail, and Adrian. I would recommend Albright IP to anyone looking to file a patent more

Was a pleasure to work with Will and Melissa on a patent draft and filing.... Will took the time to understand both my software product and the commercial motivations behind the patent filing. They were extremely responsive to questions and clarifications throughout the process (availability isn't everything, but it certainly helps!).They were also very clear regarding fees, and set out a very helpful visual timeline and cost breakdown on the whole patent application process at the pre-sales stage. This emphasis on making sure I understood all aspects of the work, and having documentation to help with that, is something I didn't see with any of the other patent services I was talking to at the time. This clear communication continued throughout our interactions.Would recommend Albright IP to anyone looking to patent an invention. The patent they filed for me was for a software more

Need a Product Designer?

Helpful Tips

Do I have to identify the designer?
It is possible to waive the name of the designer when filing a European Community Design, but you should be sure that you have the rights to the design

Albright IP endeavour to make the trade mark registration process as simple and stress-free as possible, whilst obtaining the broadest protection possible for your trade mark. We offer all-inclusive prices, with no hidden costs. We believe that are our fees are very competitive but are happy to try and price match, if you receive a lower equivalent quotation elsewhere. We are committed to providing the best service at an affordable price, and provide clear indications of cost for each stage of the UK and European patenting processes.

The following sections give a general indication of when and why costs are incurred on UK and European patent applications.

Is preparing and filing a registered trade mark application expensive?

We offer competitive fixed fee deals for preparing UK and European trade mark applications, and then filing at the UK IPO or EUIPO respectively.

We also offer very competitive rates for handling overseas trade mark applications, via our network of experienced and cost-effective foreign associates. This applies to both Madrid Protocol (‘international’) trade mark applications and to national trade mark filings in individual countries.

For further details, please contact us for a brief discussion.

Are there any official fees to pay?

Official fees are due on all trade mark applications but the level of fees can vary between different jurisdictions. For example, whilst the EUIPO official fees are higher than the UK IPO official fees, you are able to prosecute a single trade mark application and, on registration, receive a registered European Union trade mark covering Europe. As a result, if you need trade mark protection in a number of European countries, there can be significant savings by applying for a registered European (Community) trade mark rather than for individual national registered trade marks.

Are there any other costs associated with registered trade mark applications?

Separately to the official fees, there are foreign attorney fees and our service fee in handling trade mark applications. Generally speaking, most of the cost is involved in the filing stage, although some countries also have official fees due on registration of a trade mark.

If formal objections arise against a trade mark application, there may also be costs involved in overcoming the objections.
