Emily graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2022 with a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences, which included modules in physics, materials science, maths and chemistry. Following this, she graduated with a Master of Science from the University of York, where she specialised in sustainable chemistry and did her project on the synthesis of bioderived and biodegradable monomers for use in plastics.

During her studies, she worked in industry doing research for a company developing plastics from seaweed. She was also selected for a highly competitive internship at a top patent attorney firm where she worked for multiple associates and successfully argued a case during a mock opposition oral proceeding in front of the firm.

Emily joined Albright IP in November 2023 to train as a patent attorney and is currently involved in every aspect of the patenting process including drafting and prosecution of patents.

In her spare time Emily enjoys running, cycling and learning French.
