Dr William Doherty

Will is an experienced Chartered British Patent Attorney, European Patent Attorney, and IP Litigator (Patents). He prepares, files, and prosecutes patents with great success in a wide range of technical sectors globally, in addition to handling patent infringement matters. In addition to being Chartered, as with all our attorneys, Dr Will Doherty is a member of and regulated by IPReg, the independent professional regulatory body in the UK for Patent Attorneys and Trade Mark Attorneys. Will is also a long-standing member of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys, and the European Patent Institute.

Will has a background in Chemistry, with a particular interest in high-end scientific equipment, having obtained a doctorate in Physical and Theoretical Chemistry which specialised in spectroscopy and probing ultracold matter. Before joining Albright, Will worked for a financial software house. He has experience in chemistry, software, as well as a long history of work in medical devices, motors, and electronics technology within his professional practice.
